BIBLE BAPTIST CHURCH
Bible Baptist Church Update from Pastor Leathley
As of April 7, 2020 Bible Baptist Church will not be canceling any regularly scheduled services. We are continually monitoring the multiple information sources, including Governor Mike DeWine’s office of Faith Based and Community Initiatives. This decision is made
prayerfully and in light of the following principles:
- We need and enjoy church services together. The joy and courage we gain from
gathering together is more important in times of distress than any other time.
- We are equipped to minister to members of our church family who are unable to attend.
- Services can be live streamed through our Facebook page (Bible Baptist Church of Byesville). Giving can be done through the mail (we are not currently set up for online giving). Our church office will remain opened during regular business hours (9:00am-5:00pm Tuesday through Friday).
- If a member is at an elevated risk of acquiring illness, we encourage that member to stay home. If a member is currently ill, we encourage that member to stay home.
- Those involved in the many ministries of Bible Baptist Church who are
unable to attend can coordinate with other volunteers to cover their
responsibilities.
- Governor Mike DeWine’s ban on gatherings does not apply to churches.
- We are aware of the current situation and the potential danger it imposes. We also desire to obey the Biblical command to have a spirit of power, love and of a sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7).
